Rest

Let be and be still, and know (recognize and understand) that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations! I will be exalted in the earth! Psalm 46:10 AMPC

What do you do “when the earth quakes or the mountains topple into the depths of the sea. Water roars and foams and mountains shake at the surging waves. Selah” Psalm 46:1-3

In times of uncertainty, when your heart pounds, feelings of hopeless begin to creep in, and you are unable to see your way out……. you stand.

Stand on the promises of God, courageous and unafraid knowing that He is your refuge, your mighty and impenetrable strength. God came through for you before, and He is able to do so again. He is your ever present help in all times of trouble.

When you feel overwhelmed and the burdens too much to bear, rest in the presence of the Most High. Hide under the shadows of His wings knowing that He is willing and able to help you.  Sometimes we may have to endure weeping, but the dawn is coming and with it great joy for those who trust in the Lord.

Trust in Yahweh Saboath, He is our King, the Lord of the Hosts of Heaven, He is fighting for us!  Rely on the God of Jacob. He is our protector. He is our elevated place.  The God of Jacob is our covenant keeping God. He is also the God of all grace.  He is my rock, in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety. Psalm 18:2.  He will fight our battles.

This same God in verse 46:10, commands, “stop striving, do nothing, be quiet, recognize, and understand that I am God!”  He is calling to us His people to hope and trust in Him, but He is also speaking to the storms and the rain that come against us, to be still, and back off from His children.

The Sovereign Lord is my strength; he makes my feet like the feet of a deer, he enables me to tread on the heights. Hab 3:19 NIV

Prayer: Father, in times of trouble, no one can help us like You can, for none understand the situation like You do.  Father, for Your name’s sake, please help in this time of crisis, not because we are deserving, but because of Your love, Your grace and Your mercy..
